I can't believe my little boy will be one in just a few days! It's gone so quickly. He's absolutely adorable and I find myself just looking at him and thinking about how lucky I am to have him (of course I'm not the only mum who feels this way about her children!). 2 years ago I was wondering whether I'd ever be able to have children so I'm very grateful.

We're having a little party tomorrow with some of his playgroup friends (although it all depends on whose mum I'm friends with!) I thought I'd bake him a cake. Problem is that I haven't made a cake for years and have never iced one! I now know that I'm useless at icing. Absolutely, utterly useless! Never mind, at least I tried. I know he won't remember it but I will so I want his 1st birthday to be fun for everyone involved. We'll have to see how it goes tomorrow!
