Common sense
Articles are for readers. We all know you want to sell your service or product and we want to help you do just that. But if if your article is not interesting and fulfils a need for the reader then they aren't going to read it or buy your product. Write as you would want to read.

Copy Title
1. Choose a phrase you would search for. Making the title a question is a popular approach.
2. Use keywords - make sure you have included the important keywords
3. Entice your reader. Aside from making the title search engine friendly, it needs to be reader friendly too!

Keywords
1. Repeat the keywords throughout your story. Obviously the copy needs to read well, but the more often you mention your keywords, the easier it is for a reader to find your copy.

Be basic
1. Treat each sentence or paragraph as if that is the only sentence or paragraph the reader has in front of them. There is no context, and this is a good excuse to repeat the keywords. Don't write about 'invitations', they are 'Housewarming invitations'. Don't write 'Contact Us', who is 'Us'?

Repeat yourself
1. There is nothing wrong with repeating yourself from a previous article, in fact it gives you the opportunity to reference to and link to your previous article, thus giving yourself more chance of being read. It is important not to just cut and paste, but to try and paraphrase. If you are unsure about linking to other articles, let the editor know, and he/she will add the links for you.

Referencing
1. Try and refer to other articles on the site, it helps the other authors and in return it will help you. If you mention a general category (as seen in the contents list) then link to it, so the reader can read further articles on this subject if they wish. If you are unsure about linking to other articles, let the editor know, and he/she will add the links for you.

About the Author
1. Your article is to promote you, your business and inform the reader. Try to keep your obvious sales pitch in your 'about the author'. This paragraph will appear at the bottom of all of your articles, and that way, if your contact details change etc, then we can update all of your previous articles with one change. You can change your 'about the author' my clicking on 'My Account' in the menu, and then looking for the tabs at the top of your details.
