Even with child number two it amazes me how quickly our babies grow up into toddlers and from toddlers into little people! When we had our second child I wanted to make sure that we had memories of those stages in other ways than just pictures.

Sue runs Prem2Pram a business specialising in handmade premature baby clothing. I came across Sue's business after she began following family and parenting on Twitter. I found her range of products - all of which are suitable for use in SCBU and her advice to parents enduring uncertain times with a baby in SCBU really inspirational. I drew strength from this site following my own experiences and I hope other parents find similar strength. The premature baby sizes start from a tiny 0-1lb and each article is carefully thought out and made with the thought and kindness that you would wish for at a difficult time

Bringing Charley home for the first time was one of the most daunting experiences of my whole life....I remember being so relieved to finally be leaving hospital so I could get home and back to normality. Feeding seemed to be going ok and I wasn't in too much pain from the birth.....so surely everything would be ok?

As a first time Mum I was so excited to be pregnant that I attended every antenatal class offered to me each believing they offered something magical to the birthing process. I attended the NHS antenatal class (just one – and this is where ultimately I met most of my fellow Mummy friends) I also opted to attend the NCT antenatal class, I came across the NCT whilst pregnant and like what they do so it seemed to make sense to attend their classes too and I also did a hypnobirthing course as I was absolutely determined to have a home birth with the minimum of pain relief and definitely no pethidine or epidural....

I don’t think it has changed me as the person I am, but it has just added something different to my life in a great way. It’s different and hard work, but a great feeling.”

Family and Parenting magazine have been busy reviewing this lovely little journal for Your Bump and Beyond an on line retailer and forum for parents and parents to be. Being a busy parent myself I know how time consuming filling in these types of things can be – pre-pregnancy they seem like a fantastic idea but once baby is on its way and the tiredness creeps in, it can soon become more like a chore – there are many features in this journal that can save hours of research and time spent writing things down.

So.....here you are at home with new baby in tow – no one ever told you just how hard this parenting business would be, what with the relentless crying, trying to get the hang of feeding, and trying to grab just a few minutes of sleep here and there, its little wonder that new parents often feel isolated and trapped in their own surroundings with their baby.
